The mysterious and reclusive Sly Stone will be coming to Victoria,
just not as originally scheduled.

The Family Stone Project featuring Sly Stone was slated to play the
Royal Theatre on June 30, but the show has now been postponed until September.

Maximus Entertainment, which handles Stone and the Project, was mum
on the exact reason for the postponement.

However, Stone has a history of missing shows in the past.

Stone is most well-known as the frontman of Sly & the Family Stone, a
band which played a huge role in the development of soul, funk and
psychedelia in the 1960s and 70s. Stone went into seclusion for much
of the 1990s after being arrested for possession of cocaine. Stone
has since semi-re-emerged, playing a handful of shows.
