MC5's Wayne Kramer will perform with Rage Against The Machine during
"Tent State Music Festival To End The War" at 2008 Democratic
National Convention. The Flobots, State Radio and The Coup will also
perform. The festival is hosted by Rage Against The Machine with Iraq
Veterans Against The War (IVAW) and Tent State University.

Kramer founded The MC5 in 1964 in Detroit, MI. He was 15 years old.
Recognized now as rock and roll's political pioneer, Wayne and his
infamous MC5 were the only band to perform at 1968's dangerous
Democratic National Convention and its now historic riot in Chicago's
Lincoln Park.

"I was part of a movement to stop a war then, and I'm part of a
movement to stop a war now," says Wayne. "In that very special case,
it was our youthful defiance that ruled the day."

That was then. This is now.

"Democracy requires participation," Kramer continues. "For rebellion
to mean anything, it must be useful, so join us in the spirit of
justice and peace."

The 2008 DNC performance will be the 40th anniversary of Wayne's 1968
DNC performance.
