Osawatomie: Weather Underground Newspaper

Osawatomie is the Weather Underground newspaper published in 1975. A
very rare copy of the first issue is now available online. See it
here and read the pages below. We also have a video available for you
below. [See URL]

The Weather Underground newspaper, Osawatomie, has been made
available online by Zomblog. They obtained the extremely rare copy of
the first issue of the newspaper that was published in 1975. As I'm
sure you know, this is the group that was founded by Bill Ayers and
Bernadine Dohrn. Barack Obama kicked off his political career in
their home and has maintain a years long relationship with the
terrorist couple. Since his interactions with them became known, he
has claimed they just happened to live in the same neighborhood.
Evidence seems to indicate that their relationship is probably more
than neighbors who didn't really know each other.

But then, Ayers and Dohrn would not be the first or last questionable
relationships in Obama's life that he would deny and then continually
'refine' his explanation of their relationships. A common thread in
the relationships that are questionable seems to be contempt for
America as it is and a declared life mission to change it.

The publication of this newspaper came at a time when Ayers and Dohrn
were transitioning from the use of terrorism to change America to a
revolutionary stance of changing America from within. Interesting
passages of the book are copied at Zomblog. The passages include a
number of words and phrases that should sound familiar to anyone who
has listened to Obama's speeches.

"There are serious antiracist organizers building a revolutionary
base in working class communities in neighborhoods, shops, mills,
mines, social institutions. There are those who are working among
women, GI's, vets, prisoners, among youth, students and the
unemployed in every part of the country. There are some who have been
at it for years and some who have just begun. Thousands more are
needed; and each particular piece of work will have to be linked up
into a whole. We need to out-organize the sophisticated and
well-financed forces of George Meany, Louise Day Hicks, Ronald
Reagan, George Wallace and Albert Shanker. Organizers need to crush
this reactionary leadership with a revolutionized torrent of people. "

But then, those who will vote for Barack Obama will vote for him no
matter what he says, does or who his associates are. It doesn't seem
to matter in the least what his plans for America are. No one asks
him and he rarely exposes him ideals. Hope and change is what he
preaches. No one asks what he hopes for or what changes he has in mind.

So the re-publication of this newspaper will only matter to those who
want to know who the real Obama may be and what an Obama Presidency
might actually be like.

Weather Underground Ayers & Obama

Regarding my previous post about first issue of Weather Underground
newspaper. For comparison Zombie placed the logo of the Weather
Underground and Obama's logo side by side.

I didn't think too much about it until I remembered the hidden
background image at Obama's official website. It appears to be a seal
much like the Great Seal of the United States. The eagle is holding
13 arrows in his talon to signify the 13 original states.

Note only one arrow is shown behind his rising sun and it appears to
be piercing the shield. No other arrows are present. Weird image. The
Weather Underground logo has only has one lightning bolt/arrow in their logo.

Purely coincidental I guess.

Blogs Cite Similarities Between Terror Manual, Obama Campaign

(IsraelNN.com) Conservative weblog Little Green Footballs and a
related blog, Zomblog, have discovered what they say is an "extremely
rare copy" of the first issue of the newspaper put out by the
terrorist Weather Underground (or 'The Weathermen') in 1975, and
point to similarities between themes and keywords employed by the
terrorists and by Sen. Barack Obama's campaign.

These keywords and themes include the idea of encouraging
"organizers" who will work in "communities" and use "audacity."

Obama is a self-described "community organizer" and he wrote an
autobiographical book called "The Audacity of Hope."

The Weather Underground was a violent Marxist-Leninist group that
carried out bombings and riots from 1969 to the mid-1970s. Its
leader, Bill Ayers, is known to have had associations with Sen.
Obama, although the extent of these associations is disputed. He and
his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, who was also a Weather Underground leader,
were both present at the recently reported-fete for former
Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) spokesman Rashid Khalidi
where Obama spoke. At the time, the PLO was on the United States list
of terror organizations.

Little Green Footballs was influential in the 2004 U.S. elections,
when it discovered an alleged attempt by CBS News and its lead
anchor, Dan Rather, to affect the result of the elections though the
publication of a forged document, referred to as "the throbbing
memo." Zomblog is written by a person who identifies herself as
Zombie, and who specializes in reporting upon ultra-leftist fringe groups.

According to Zomblog, the Weather Underground newspaper, called
Osawatomie, "was written at a time when the Dohrn-Ayers wing of the
Weather Underground was transitioning from terrorism to "working from
the inside" for revolution. Much of the paper "concerns itself with
the need to encourage 'organizers' who will work in 'communities' and
use 'audacity' to bring about 'socialism' in America."

Some quotes from the newspaper:

"But revolutionaries expect adversity, expect to be fought every inch
of the way by an entrenched ruling class, expect to confront danger
and demoralization and overcome it, with creativity and audacity."

"Theory and ideology are important tools, and we should make study of
Marxism-Leninism an important part of our work."

"Organizers must be intimately aware of every problem and each
injustice, and they must show that underneath each particular problem
lies another problem, and another and another until you reach the
system of imperialism itself. "

"We need to build a successful struggle, strong organization and a
winning revolutionary party. This is a process, which will not emerge
full-blown from our minds. It will emerge and change and grow from
practice. We know where to begin."

"The immediate task for the left is this: organize the masses of
people against imperialism and for revolution. Pull together friends
and comrades, whether three or thirty. Explain the roots of the
current economic and social crisis. Fight for jobs and for funds for
urgent relief programs. Wealth should be taken from the Pentagon
budget and used to rebuild our cities, schools and hospitals."
