note from notorious killer Charles Manson
By Daily Mail Reporter
26th July 2009
Phil Spector used to take calls from Tina Turner and John Lennon, but
now the only person who wants to work with him is mass murderer Charles Manson.
Manson is anxious to make music with the 69-year-old producer, who is
serving life in prison for the shooting of actress Lana Clarkson.
Spector's wife Rachelle told a U.S. newspaper: 'A guard brought
Philip a note from Manson.
'He said he considers Philip the greatest producer who ever lived. It
was creepy. Philip didn't respond.'
Manson, 74, is being held at Corcoran State Prison in Los Angeles,
where he is serving a life sentence for conspiring to murder seven
people, including movie star Sharon Tate, in 1969.
'I think Manson wants to glean some musical advice from Phil, who was
a Sixties music god with his "Wall of Sound",' publicist Hal Lifson said.
'But Phil's like, "I used to pick up the phone and it was John Lennon
or Celine Dion or Tina Turner and now Charles Manson is trying to get
a hold of me!''.'
Manson is being held in a separate wing to the producer of hits Be My
Baby and Unchained Melody.
The cult leader was initially sentenced to death in 1969 for the
deaths of movie star Sharon Tate, coffee heiress Abigail Folger and
three others stabbed and shot to death at Tate's LA home.
The sentence was later reduced to life imprisonment when a 1972
decision by the Supreme Court of California temporarily eliminated
the state's death penalty.
The next night, two others were stabbed to death at their homes.
Before his killing spree Manson tried to launch a music career.
The Beach Boys ended up recording two Manson songs - one eerily
titled Cease To Exist, which the group changed to Never Learn To
Love, the New York Post reports.

Charles Manson Phil Spector Contact Story Proven HOAX-PHIL SPECTOR NEWS
For immediate release:
PRISON OFFICIALS SAY HOAX! PHONY CHARLES MANSON STORY FROM TEAM SPECTOR
Fabricated Story Came from Team Spector
Los Angeles - The fabricated hype that Charles Manson was seeking out Phil Spector in their prison is just plain wacky. Prison officials told ABC News 20/20 that there is no way Manson can communicate with Spector. They are in two different buildings located in two different areas in separate fenced in complexes. Prison officials also told ABC news that the story could of only come from Spector's handlers and wife.
Recently Team Spector announced that they were seeking e-mail access for Spector. The friends of Lana Clarkson started a petition letter writing campaign to Warden Darrel Adams at Corcoran State Prison where Spector now resides with a 19 years to life prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The friends feel that giving a convicted murderer with a life sentence the ability to contact other criminals on the outside, to possibly empower and pay them to cause harm or death to his enemies, is irresponsible and extremely dangerous.
