PREVIEW: Amen Corner at Tamworth Assembly Rooms

IT MIGHT be getting close to winter but The Summer of Love will help
brighten the atmosphere at Tamworth Assembly Rooms later this month.

Amen Corner will be performing the 'ultimate psychedelic show' on
November 25 and promise some of the world's greatest pop songs ever written.

"It will surely take you back to those kaleidoscope days of the
psychedelic 60s," a venue spokesman said.

The show's many songs will include Whiter Shade of Pale, Little Help
From My Friends, Let's Go to San Francisco, Bend Me Shape Me,
California Dreaming, Jesamine, Young Girl, Flowers In The Rain,
Waterloo Sunset, If Paradise Is Half as Nice, Happy Together, Out of
Time, Itchycoo Park, See Emily Play, Judy In Disguise, Sun Ain't
Gonna Shine Anymore, Fire, Nights In White Satin and All you Need Is Love.

Audience members are urged to put on their best 60s clothes for the show.

The performance features the musically acclaimed six-piece Summer of
Love Orchestra, under the direction of Helen Fitzgerald.

The spokesman added: "This is the ultimate 60s show with a
difference, free your mind with a classic psychedelic experience,
which is not to be missed.

"Dig out your flares and kaftans and put some sunshine back in your life."
